California Commission on Disability Access Bill Tracking
This is a resource for following the bills under consideration by the California legislature that affect the disabled community.
In 1997, the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) was awarded a federal grant to build a statewide Disability Organizing Network to educate and organize California’s Disability Community. From 1997 to 2002 CFILC employed 29 Empowerment Team Leaders that worked within the 28 Independent Living Centers through the state.

The Disability Action Coalition organizes the annual Capitol Action Day. Disability Capitol Action Day is a yearly event coordinated by The Disability Action Coalition as an opportunity for people of cross disabilities, their families, and allies to come together in solidarity to learn about disability community resources, become educated on potential policies that could impact our daily lives and collaborate with our fellow disability community members to educate policymakers on the issues we care about most.
