Candy Velasco & Sandy Fong

Candy is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of helping people live better, productive and independent lives. She earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California, a Master of Public Health with an emphasis on epidemiology from the University of Illinois, and dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Music from UC Berkeley. With her twin sister (Sandy), she co-founded EQL Threads, a solution-focused adaptive clothing company designed to make dressing easier and more empowering for everyone. Fun Fact: Candy is an endurance jump rope enthusiast, so far her record is 75 minutes of non-stop jumping, clearing over 15,000 skips. 

Sandy is a dedicated piano instructor with over 30 years of experience inspiring students to discover their love and joy for music. She graduated from UC Berkeley with dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Music, combining her creative and analytical sides to bring a thoughtful approach to her everyday tasks. Alongside her twin sister (Candy), she co-founded EQL Threads, an adaptive clothing company focused on creating stylish, functional clothing that makes life easier. Fun fact: Sandy has a chia pudding business that specializes in fun seasonal flavors.
